Work Completed/Skills Learned
This week we only had four days of class because our whole grade had to write OSSLT on Thursday. On Monday I finally finished String Application program and we had alesson on Visual Basic Operators. There are three main types of operators: arithmetic operations, logical operators, and comparison operators. We learned that these operators were essential to a program, and they would be needed to compare one variable to another, and to perform simple mathematical operations. On Tuesday and Wednesday we were working to complete Payroll application using different Visual Basic Operators .On Friday TIK teacher taught us all about Dialog boxes. We learned that these boxes were useful for the user interface, where the user interface can access an easy options box in order to change the characteristics of the program. After the lesson I added a Dialog box to my Payroll Application.
Objectives/Future Goals/Word Remaining
Currently I have no work remaining. I finished all the programs that we were supposed to do and I am going to start working on different programs next week. I am going to study hard this weekend so, I can do good on the test next Thursday. I am also looking forward to learning more about Visual Basic and its functions.
Challenges Faced/How they were resolved
This week I did not run into many problems. I completed Payroll application and found it was very easy to do, since we already completed similar programs using IF, Else statements. At first, my only problem was that I could not figure out how to add Dialog Box to my program. After the lesson on Dialog boxes on Friday it became more clearer for me how to use it, and I added it to Payroll Application.
