Work Completed/ Skills Learned
Because of long weekend, this week we only had four days of school. On Monday and Tuesday teacher gave us time to complete pizza program from last week. My group finished it on Tuesday and it worked out really well, all the stuff and buttons were working. In order to this finish the program we had to use many of the skills learned previous and incorporate all of them together. While doing the program I learned the following things: How to use group boxes and dialog boxes, how to enable the buttons in program and how to use the Form load option for all our prices. On Wednesday we had a lesson on loops and For…Next statements. On Thursday and Friday we learned how to trace programs. We used quick watches to trace the variables for many programs. The tracing charts were quite troublesome and long, and I managed to complete two out of three programs.
Objectives/Future Goals/Word Remaining
I managed to complete most of the work given in class. This weekend I just have to finish tracing Program #7. I am going to study hard this weekend since, I want to do good on the test next week. I am looking forward to learning more about Visual Basic and its functions.
Challenges Faced/How they were resolved
This week I ran into many problems. First I had some troubles figuring out how to use Dialog boxes but, teacher helped me. Also my group had trouble with creating pizza program and we had to ask TIK for help on numerous occasions. On Friday I did not really understood how to use quick watches and trace programs so, I had to ask TIK for help once again. With help of TIK teacher and my classmates I was able to resolve all my problems successfully.
