Weekly Status Report #13, Friday May 11, 2007

Work completed/Skills Learned
This week was a very sad and tragic week, due to a tragic death of a very special person in our school. There were not enough people in a classroom, so we did not learn anything or did any work on Visual Basic for 2 days. On Monday we continued working on Students statistics program. On Tuesday we were introduced to the completely new aspect of coding known as Arrays. Array is a powerful date structure that stores variable date having the same date type. Array is a group of variables that is given only name. Each array is given a number instead of name which makes it easier to work with loops and other programming things. On Wednesday we worked on different arrays programs that were assigned by TIK. Thursday and Friday we had free work periods.

Objectives/Future Goals/Work remaining
I am looking forward to learning more about arrays. I completed one of the three programs required to do. I am going try and finish two other programs on a weekend or Tuesday when I come back.

Challenges Faced and how they were resolved.
This week I run into many problems with Arrays. I could not figure out how to do first array program so, I had to ask TIK and my classmates for help on numerous occasions. After my teacher and friends explained the information to me in detail, I was able to finish the program successfully. I got my TIK test back and I am really happy with my mark(92%!!).
